Read the bio for anything address-shaped, including the disguised forms. Reassemble it.

The manual route does not survive contact with a list of two hundred usernames, and this is where the two kinds of lookup tool part ways.

The bio-reading lookup

A bio reader opens each profile the way you would, reads the bio, and records what is there. It runs inside your own Instagram session, so it sees what you can see and nothing more.

The database lookup

Modash, influencers.club and CreatorDB each describe their finder as a search across a stored index of creator profiles, in the hundreds of millions. You type a username and get whatever the index holds for it.

The reach is wider, because the index can hold an address the bio no longer shows, or one collected from the linked website. The cost is that the address came from the index, not from the page in front of you, so you are trusting how and when it was built. Free tiers are usually a small number of lookups a day; volume is paid.

Best for: enrichment work where a stale or third-party address is acceptable and the tool's terms allow the use.

Why do "reverse email lookup" results for Instagram look so confident?

Because the products that offer them are not Instagram tools. They are people-search services that hold email addresses from breaches, marketing lists and public records, and match a username or a name to those. When the match is right, it can find an address the person never published on Instagram. When it is wrong, it hands you a stranger's inbox with the same confidence.

Two consequences. First, a "found" address from such a service is not evidence the person wants to hear from you, which matters under CAN-SPAM and GDPR. Second, none of it is Instagram data, so calling it an Instagram email lookup is marketing rather than description.

Anyone trying to identify or contact a private person who has not published an address. A username lookup cannot reach a login email, and a people-search hit is not consent.
Anyone who needs a guaranteed deliverable address per lead. That is enrichment and verification, which Mastros does not do and does not pretend to.
