Yes, and here is what safe means specifically. Everything runs inside your own browser — the data you export never reaches a Mastros server. There is no account, no API key and no password to hand over; the extension works through the session you are already signed into. It only reads what the page has already loaded, it never sends or posts anything, and nothing runs on its own — you press the button every time. Mastros does not do the things that get accounts actioned. It sends no messages, follows no one, joins no groups and makes no requests of its own — it reads the responses your browser has already loaded. On LinkedIn there is an additional hourly safety cap, separate from your plan limit, specifically so a large export does not look like rapid-fire activity. Reading data that is already visible to you, on an account you are logged into, for your own records is a different question from collecting and redistributing other people's personal data. Mastros only does the first. What you do with the file afterwards is governed by the platform's terms and by privacy law where you are — GDPR in the EU, and equivalents elsewhere. None of your content. Messages, phone numbers, names, chat titles and group titles never leave your browser. Mastros records how often the tools are used, and those counts contain no personal data. Chrome asks for site access on the platform the extension works with — that is what lets the panel appear and read the page you have open. It does not request access to your other tabs, your browsing history or your other accounts. The permission looks broad because Chrome's wording is broad; the actual scope is one site.

No. Every extension has a free tier you can use without paying, without an account and without entering a card — you install it from the Chrome Web Store and it works. The extensions still in beta are free outright while the beta runs. A card only comes into it if you decide to move to Pro or Scale for the bigger monthly limits, and how much the free tier gives you differs by extension, so the numbers are on each extension's own page.

No. Nothing is sent, nothing is posted, and no notification is generated. The export happens on your computer and stays there.

Chrome and any Chromium browser — Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera and Vivaldi. It does not work in Safari or Firefox, and it does not work in the phone or desktop apps; it needs the web client.
