Instagram Comment Export

  1. 1.Every comment and reply on a post or Reel, with the commenter, as rows; the likers as a second file.
  2. 2.CSV, XLSX or JSON, saved on your computer.
  3. 3.Free and unlimited while the launch beta runs.

Instagram comment export with Mastros: open a post or Reel on instagram.com, pick Comments in the Mastros panel, and every comment and its replies are saved as CSV, XLSX or JSON with the commenter's username and the text. The people who liked the post are a separate export from the same panel. It runs in your own logged-in browser, asks for no password, and if Instagram pauses the list every row already read is kept.

What you get

  • All comments and reply threads on a post or Reel you can open.
  • The likers of that post as their own list.
  • CSV, XLSX or JSON.
  • Pause and resume: Instagram's limits stop the list, not your file.
  • Engagement rate per post and per account comes free with the posts and profile exports.

It only reads. Mastros never follows, likes, comments or messages, never asks for a password or an API key, and processes every row in your browser. Nothing you export is sent to Mastros.

How to export Instagram comments to Excel

  1. 01Add Mastros for Instagram from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. 02Open the post or Reel on instagram.com.
  3. 03Open the Mastros panel, choose Comments (or Likers), and press Save.
  4. 04Open the file in Excel or Google Sheets.

Giveaways, research and reporting

One row per comment with the username is what a giveaway draw needs: filter duplicates in the sheet, pick a row. For research, the reply threads stay attached to their parent comment in the JSON export. For whole audiences rather than one post, use the Instagram follower export tool; to compare a post with the account's average, the Instagram engagement rate calculator. The same job on TikTok is the TikTok comment exporter.

Posts with thousands of comments

Instagram limits how much of a list one session can read in a stretch. On a post with thousands of comments, Mastros stops when Instagram says so, keeps every row it already saved, and resumes from the last one after the cooldown, usually a few hours. You can close the browser in between. Other exports, such as posts or media, keep working while a long comment list waits.
